Is stealing garbage cans a unique hobby for Tofino? What is it that people steal recycling and garbage cans. And it doesn’t matter that your name is on them – those weird stealers take them anyway.  As a crew we’ve lost 6 garbage cans with tops and 8 recycling containers. We’re not saying it’s the biggest deal in the world, an inconvenience, but who the hell steals garbage and recycling containers – it’s just such a cheap lowlife act. Oh well, it does take our minds off fish farms for a minute, or mining in a biosphere, or the extinction of the natural world as we know it. But just once we’d love to see someone doing it and write down a licence plate.
